Reflections
Well happy New Year.
I hope your year has started really well.
Thanks for stopping by after a long holiday.
My holiday included lots of good times with family and friends,
sun, swimming in the sea, good food and time in the garden. And some reflection.
I love the clean page a new year brings. I love planning, thinking, dreaming a new year into existence.
And so, after some reflection.....

This year, is my year of joy.
No matter what happens in my life,
I'm focusing on habits that daily cultivate and spread joy.
I'm sorting my thoughts and feelings and choosing which ones suit the joy lifestyle best.
I'm thanking God for all the good things and the challenging things - daily.
I'm putting on a 'garment of praise' in the times my spirit is heavy.

I'm praising those closest to me.
I'm choosing to talk about the good, the positive.
I'm definitely slowing down: one day a week I'm resting. I'm learning to relax.
I'm feeding my spirit and soul with God's word daily.
Finally after 18 years of being a Christian, I am facing my fears and going to go to church weekly
and then I am going to contribute to the church.
I'm getting my finances/spending under control.
I'm responding to the inward call to write and letting go of the fear of not writing well.

I'm seeking out positive, like minded, real life people who want to have fun and be joyful
and I'm laughing with them.
What's your year about?
What a lovely encouraging and inspiring post. Here's to a joyous and positive year of growth :)

ReplyDeleteI hope to see you soon - you're very encouraging
Thanks for popping into my blog... no wonder my post resonated with you, a lot of the things you're focusing on this year are the same as me :-)! Yay!
ReplyDeleteJoy - now there is a word I also need to remember far more regularly!
I love this. Absolutely love it. I too need to join a church and be actively involved. My 'word' for this year is community. I want to build community for my family and I and also contribute to community, both in our daily lives and where I can online.
